But when a series of livestock killings begins, the local Sheriff discovers evidence that defies biological explanation. The tracks left in the mud do not belong to a wolf or a bear. They are massive, clawless, and disturbingly human.

This is not a story about a predator hunting for food. It is a documented account of a siege. As the nights grow longer, the creature shifts from stalking sheep to pacing alongside schoolteachers and testing the latches of family homes.
